Mixed fortunes,
Different strokes,
Varying tunes,
Different folks.

Thinning wallets,
Bulging purses,
Ingested pellets,
Busy nurses.

A day of contradictions,
Fraught with maledictions.
Or so it may seem,
No thanks to the 'righteous',
Making it all so grim,
Stories factual and fictitious.

Forest muddled up in trees,
One side to the coin seen,
Th saint brought to his knees,
Wondering what might have been.
