**grins** This picture has exposed lies from SW thoroughly, i thought they said yorubaland was more industrialized than SE/SS, this map from NASA has shown that apart from Lagos, the real SW is at par with the North in industrialization. Guys take a good look at that map again, Igboland and SS has more illumination than all SW and North put together. The internet bursting SW lies since the birth of Dr Emeagwali. **LOLS** 6 Likes 1 Share

Nigerian Economic Activity has direct correlation with the lighted areas on the map. Areas that are lite up are areas that are responsible for the Country revenues, Infact the more the lights the more the money that Area generates for Nigeria. |

It's like SE/SS are the region with power supply, which implies they're the region with booming economic activities. |

drlawizle: Could be from a plant, refinery or some other chemical plant. If you doubt its gas flaring, care to explain the "lights" showing on water too? Abi nigerians don dey get light for atlantic again? |

ichidodo: Rily? Yl u choose to litter ds thread wt ignorance a simple search wd have sufficed to stop such comparison wc is albeit silly. Those are not "lights" but natural gas flares wc on all accounts doesn't rub off well on ds government considering the economic waste and environmental pollution it constitutes, with Nigeria being largest emmiter only second to Russia in d Gas flare emmiting Nations. Lets assume they were lights, does that paint this government's "massive investment in power generation" in d right hue seeing that only a miniscule proportion of ds country get electricity at night? Below are d following; 1.Niger-Delta zoomed in imagery of Gas flaring activity at night. 2. Texas shale gas flaring at night 3. US at night

bushdoc9919:keep quiet; where you expecting him to plant light in bushes? Southern nigeria is has a more nucleated settlement compared to north that why you have it that way. |

EbolaParasite: The lights are both Gas Flaring, City/Town lights and Industrialisation. See earlier pix of Uk Europe. Note London etc and note also the North Sea installations. |

Re: An Interesting Picture Of Nigeria At Night Taken From Space By NASA by KoloOyinbo(m): 11:19pm On Feb 27, 2015 |
shaqhead: Yes we again see BOTH here. City lights of Houston etc and the gas flare of the oil/gas fields. Better to look at Europe where cities Like London and Paris etc (Which have zero gas flaring) are plainly visible as are the North Sea installations. As an interesting aside a spectrographic picture will show up the two kinds as distinct from each other. |
