Thank you all the same for the info. Though I felt bad that the defending world cup champion could not even take bronze in Africa. The coach Amunuke is a disgrace to the country. He totally destroy the legacy that had been built by his predecessor. He should be ashamed of himself.

Hey easy man. Several factors could have affected the team which could include:

-He probably did not have the same quality of players paraded by Manu.
-Other African team could probably have learnt from Nigeria and would have also made appreciable progress
-There performance could have been affected by the harsh semi-arid weather. Mali who emerged winners are their close neighbours even in terms of weather.
-It is only natural, you cannot continue to churn out a rich assemblage of players. A golden generation of players only comes once in a while
-You cannot win all football competitions.

I wish them Good Luck in Chile.
