Salam alaykum brothers and sisters. I want to seek your opinion if praying for the death of someone is permitted in Islam. I have a grandmother who is very old and sick. She finds it difficult to move and is always on the bed. Even on the bed she cannot turn by herself excepts she is turned. Now the family members are praying that she dies so that she will escape all the pain she is going through. Does Islam permit this type of behaviour? Please advise.
