"We continue to have talks with coaches from different parts of the world, but there is a greater chance of Nigerian Stephen Keshi taking over Joseph Omog’s place because negotiations between us and him are going well, and his background is something that has attracted us,” Nassoro told Goal.
Keshi became coach of the Nigerian senior national team in 2011. He led Nigeria to qualification for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, which they went on to win, defeating Burkina Faso 1–0 in the final. Although he failed to help the Super Eagles qualify for this year’s edition of the competition.
