lol the language doesn't even have native speakers. I think roman catholics are still the only speakers. It's all in the past now anyway. But I don't understand the importance if learning a language you won't need in any part of the world unless during Catholic mass service.

That's the shit shah. If you go to Lagos some schools make the yoruba language compulsory. The thing is it is a private or missionary school so they have monopoly and can decide to rub it however it suits them. I guess it's a case of when you live in Germany you learn German.
