Crowdfunding In Nigeria, Possibilities, Challenges, Is It Feasible? Your Opinion by steincol: 3:00pm On Mar 08, 2015
So i learnt a couple of guys are working on creating a crowdfunding platform like kickstarter in Nigeria. What do you think are the challenges facing such venture, do you think it is a feasible idea in Nigeria considering our dubious and untrusting nature. Please leave you opinion. However, let me briefly explain what crowdunding is.
Crowdfunding is a way of raising finance by asking a large number of people each for a small amount of money. Crowdfunding uses the internet to talk to thousands – if not millions – of potential funders. Typically, those seeking funds will set up a profile of their project on a website such as kickstarter. They can then use social media, alongside traditional networks of friends, family and work aquaintances, to raise money. In return the fund raisers offer the donor a reward which will depend on the amount donated.
So Nigerians, do you think this is a feasible concept in Naija? what are d possible challenges, can it work? or better still any ideas to make much better?
Thank you for your input in advance.

I'm interested in doing this. I just don't know feasible it will be in nigeria here. I'm looking for people with shared interests cos I'd like to do this in a team, so risks are shared.
