Your story is well written, you have managed to keep me interested and eager to see the fate of Young Mr Black.
Adding a companion brings comedy but also puts my heart at rest as he is no longer lonely.
So far I have deply empathised with this child and even shed a few tears. I was overjoyed when he found safety in the priest. And I grieved with him when he lost his mother.
The best story I've encountered on this site, absolutely beautifully written.

All my life I haven't given no street beggar no dime. I would say I'm psychologically disinclined to believe a beggar's story but yesterday some remarkable event in my life occurred. There was this lil boy that came around to beg; at first I told him calmly that I had nearly nothing on me, but when I remembered how Black begged to save his already dead mother I called back the child who coincidentally should be as the same age as Black... and I felt some kind of rare joy- like I had saved a life, given hope to the hopeless as Priest Duba had done for Peter Black.
