Pulling All-Nighters It is not a secret that the body requires sleep every day to rest, rebuild, and rejuvenate. If you pull all-nighters throughout your youth, there is a good chance that you will start feeling the effects later in life. Aim to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night and do this every night. Relying on Energy Drinks or Coffee Energy drinks and coffee are fine for a quick and occasional pick-me-up, but in the long run, if you are relying on these drinks to power through the day, this will catch up with you. Opt for healthier energy-boosting options like eating healthier foods, exercise, and getting more sleep. Eating Junk Food The occasional treat is never a bad thing, but when you start to eat junk food each day, this can take a toll on your health. The excessive sugar can do a number on your teeth and cause tooth decay, as well as increase the risk of diabetes. Excessive salt increases the risk of heart disease. Charging Too Much on Credit Cards Debt is something that follows you throughout your entire life and when you start putting too much on your credit cards, it is easy to accumulate debt that you can no longer handle. Keep a credit card for emergencies and only pay cash for the things that you need and want. Tanning Sun damage is one of the quickest ways to age your skin and the damage is often irreversible. Tanning also increases your risk of developing skin cancer. Wear sunscreen every day, regardless of the weather outside, choose one that is a broad spectrum, and it should have at least a 30 SPF. Drinking Having a cocktail from time to time when you want to unwind a bit is not a bad thing, but drinking multiple drinks on a daily basis will follow you and the effects get worse over time. Drinking can age your skin and increase your risk for other health issues, such as liver disease. Smoking Smoking is the number one cause of lung cancer and when it comes to cancers that affect both genders, lung cancer is the most common one in the United States. Not smoking significantly decreases your lifetime risk of this cancer, as well as things like heart disease and stroke. Skipping Meals Many people skip meals because they are busy or because they are trying to drop a few pounds. While this may seem harmless at the time, as you get older, you will find that skipping meals does not help much to lose weight and you can always make time for a quick, healthy snack. Not Exercising Exercise is critical for a healthy mind and body and those who exercise regularly have a lower risk of many health conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. Aim to exercise most days of the week for at least 30 minutes. Incorporate flexibility, cardiovascular, and strength training. Over-Stressing It is nearly impossible to completely avoid stress, but you can work to control how you react to it. If you find yourself always feeling down and like the world is crashing down around you, it is time to start making changes. While change is scary, it is necessary to reduce your stress levels. Loud Music Your hearing is one of the most important senses you have and while things like hearing aids exist, protecting your natural hearing is very important. Concerts are great, but stay away from the speakers. When listening to the radio or a portable device, keep the volume reasonable. Breaking Dates with Friends You never know what the future holds, so you should spend as much time with your friends as you possibly can. While emergencies happen, if nothing critical is going on, push past feeling tired or unsociable and head out to spend a little time with those you love. Not Eating Vegetables Daily Vegetables are a rich source of the nutrients that your body needs to work properly. You need multiple servings each day and it is important that you do everything possible to never skip a serving. Work vegetables into all of your meals and snacks and you will likely get enough. Skipping Sex Sex allows you to get closer to your partner and it aids in strengthening your bond and relationship. Sex also has a variety of mental and physical benefits, too. It is an effective stress reliever and may help to lessen anxiety. Physically, it is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Not Moisturizing The signs of aging are often more noticeable in people who do not properly take care of their skin. Moisturizing every day is an important part of proper skin care. You should aim to moisturize after a bath or shower and before going to bed at night to ensure optimal hydration. 1 Like |

Guys, you need to pump those muscles. You need to exercise. I am tired of seeing young guys with pot-bellies and flabby bodies. Whenever i see and read about the history of the spartans, those guys where the real men I am telling you this now, it pays to exercise. Ladie una matter na for another day. |
