Op so you get 1.5Milla, o boy you be millionaire oooo. Biggest boiy! okay really we should also know your capacity to maintain the car cos if for example you buy a fairly used Murano at the Immigration auction, would your less than hundred K per month pay enable you to carry out factory repairs on the car? |

First of all, for your opinion to be valid you need to own a car. Opinions based on assumption should be disregarded. Second, Maintenance of any car is the responsibility of the car owner and not the car. If you can't maintain a Picanto you will most likely misuse a Range. Third, first time car buyers are interested in economical and affordable vehicles. But after few months you get "bored" of the car and want a car that gives prestige. My opinion, go for a car that gives the prestige to avoid the feeling you purchased the wrong car in the first place if you go for cheap. 4th, the issue of fuel consumption is a factor of the engine. You could avoid a V6 engine BUT no one will buy a luxury car like a BMW and keep complaining about fuel consumption. For instance, how many will give the excuse "I won't buy an Iphone 6 because it comes with an expensive data plan". Conclusion, take your time to get a car. I waited for almost 6 months and got an '06 Honda Accord for N1m imported 5 months earlier. The same type a friend purchased for almost N2m months earlier. 7 Likes |

Qaisar1:I don't agree with you on this, you need an expert who understands it to work on it not just any "Kazeem" who calls himself a mechanic. |

chucky234: Toyota has cheaper maintenance cost than Honda. I assume you know that. ....again, I don't think you've used any of the corollas mentioned. |

chucky234: Bro, those 'kazeems' are cheaply affordable and can do the job without hassles if you use a car with less complex design like the Toyotas. It still boils down to type of car. #teamcorolla. |

laplace12:I owned the 2007 Corolla which I sold to a nairalander last year, my younger brother presently own one too. Camry has the same maintenance cost as Accord and same can be said of Corolla and Civic. Toyota cars especially Avalon, 4runner, Sequia, Matrix, Venza, and Sienna are not in any way cheap to maintain. Take your time to find out how much the engines and gears of those cars goes for in the market, their OEM parts are also expensive. 2 Likes 1 Share |

laplace12:Only those who want to buy a car for buying sake drives Corolla, those who want to bond with their car and enjoy comfort and luxury without spending much go for Honda,Volvo,Mazda,Nissan,Ford,Chrysler and VW while those who have the cash and want to feel the full thrills of driving a good car go for Benz, BMW,Audi, Acura and Toyota's owned Lexus. 7 Likes |

chucky234: I don't understand what you mean by 'buying sake' I still can't see how you can bond with a car that gives you headache all the time. I have a good bonding with my corolla, it asks for near zero maintenance cost 2 Likes |

ndidibabe: It rarely comes as toks. You find more of the American spec as toks; but mine is the European spec (which is more rugged, durable and fuel efficient). A couple of friends that were lucky to find toks, got theirs at N1.550m and N1.6m respectively. I bought mine for 1m from an uncle who is a banker. It still had a low mileage of 53k miles as at when I bought it. It's a car that will leave you with absolutely no regrets whatsoever...especially as a lady. 1 Like |

[quote author=Chynx post=31550563]Whatever you do, stay away from Nissan Altima 2.5S (2002model). This vehicle almost killed me with series of complaints...especially electrical; including the fact that it has not ABS! I have been breathing fresh air since I sold it and got myself a 2006 Toyota Corolla (Bank Type). No sweat at all. My 2 cents. [/qu |

Its like the odd favour the corolla. I got 2007 corolla bank type from a friend abt 2 years ago n the realiability of the car cannot be overemphasized. Do ur rountine servicing as at wen due n when eva u put the key in d ignition, its zoooom! Though the car's interior is not exciting, it can take u anywhere. D car is good for a beginner I assure u if u get agood one u won't regret It That a pic of it for those who do not know bank type 2 Likes
