Nigeria does not need the legalization of arms but what it needs is a serious effort at poverty reduction, and closing the gap between rich and poor, reforming and strenghtening the law enforcement agencies.Legalize arms in a society like Nigeria and you see a total break down of law and order. The average Nigerian is not ready to handle a gun my brother, he will definitely abuse it. And who told you the rich & not d poor are targets? What ever gave this robbers the audacity to invade a business hub in broad day light is a clear sign that they have prior support and information from an insider and security loperatives. If our police take their job seriously, they would have averted this heinous crime but they prefer collecting bribes and attacking hapless civilians, we urgently need to address the issues facing the police, no marine police to engage the criminals when they escape through the waters, no helicopters to track their movement or provide area surveillance, in fact the helicopters in the police force are now tools used to convey officials and politicians to party events. the Major problem is still youth unemployment .
