The new testament summarized it as Love your neighbour as yourself and love God. I believe that covers rape, abuse of power...

The golden rule covers all worthwhile laws of social conduct and is why 1- 5 look particularly silly - how can anyone be so misguided to believe that 1- 5 are so important? Those are not laws for the benefit and safe-keeping of the individual, they are there to keep the power structure in place. Why be explicit about those 10 in the old testament whilst ignoring more serious transgressions?

How do you legislate or even prove 5 and 10?

If you find it so difficult to obey why not just take it out of the story book. The person who wrote that is probably impotent. Just find a scripture in the Bible and twist it to mean fornication is good, or perhaps god wasn't talking about fornication in that part it means something else. Just keep twisting and twisting until you capture the minds of your gullible brethren. Hypocrites!

Off course the golden rule + the love of GOD, which is the summary in the new testament covers all.

It should be noted that 1-4 should not be joked with as it signifies the love and respect of GOD in that summary. However, one needs to be very careful with no5 and never place it above the love of GOD.

It's possible to follow the golden rule without so much as acknowledging any 'god' - societies with minimal religious interaction fare better than their religious counterparts in that regard.

1 - 5 are about cementing the power structure - establishing the supremacy of the religious authorities, to be followed by the family.

Why was protecting people from rape not considered a priority in the old testament?

Na so dem dey turn bible upside down, dem go tell u say u must bring ur first salary of the year to dem that its in the bible to pay tithe by force, a pastor has even told his members that if u don't pay it ,u will go to hell

This is just the short form.Let me give you details of 1$2.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or
that is in the earth beneath , or that is in the water under the earth . Thou shalt not bow down thyself to
them , nor serve them : for I the Lord thy God am a
