first my period started coming late ..it was extending by 12,13 day....then for 2 months i did not see it & then it came d third month...afterwhich..it did not come for 3months & then again i saw it d next month months.. & now it almost three months & i hav not seen it again... all dis while i hv been going for test but d doctor said am perfectly fine... i dnt kw wat to do.. even though d doctor said am fine but i still tink its not normal for me to be skipping my monthly period for a long duration.... pls i still need more information from those of u in d medical field on how to go abt it. thank u!

@OP sorry about ur worries. There are many tentative causes.

It can be caused by hormonal imbalance in your body. Have u noticed any increase in body hair growth?e.g facial or chest hair. Any decrease in ur breast size? You may need to do an MRI scan (pituitory gland ish?).

It can also be caused by poor diet. Have u been fasting frequently?

Excessive exercise too. Are u an athlete? Are u very slim?

Certain medications. E.g birth control pills. (*winks*)

There are other potential causes. You should see a Gynaecologist immediately cos you surely wanna have kids in the future, don't you.

Don't forget to pray too. God has been waiting for you to discuss the matter with Him! You'll be fine afterwards. Cheer up.

i dont do exercise...i cant even rememb d last time i fasted cos its really been long... am not slim..am on d average body size...as for d diet tin...i eat good food...although i like rice alot..i dont go a day without eating rice... & i cook d rice in differently..e.g coconut rice.. banga rice..fried rice... stew rice..rice & beans. for d birth control pills..yes i take dat.. as for d hair growth..dnt have any on my chest or my face.. & i hv not notice any increase on d parts where i grow hair.... i still cant get wat am doing wrong...dont kw wat say

Dear my advice to u knw is to visit a gyna. But if u have the same symptoms like me u can just save ur time and visit an ultra sound then if its an ovarian problem or cyst they may direct to a gyna or u can go by urself wt the scan result..

Dear am telling u frm an experience when same thing happened to me.
It started with late period before i missed a period for 1month and i didnt waste anytime i went to the dr immedialtely bt he says that all is well but within myself i knw that all is nt well so i visit an ultra sound scan where i did a scan and found out that i have polycystic ovarian syndrome.
After that the nxt month i see me period but i ignored it and visit a gynaecologist hospital cos i knw it might affect my fertility some day if i keep calm.
That was when the gyna prescribed combined pill for me to control the symptoms becos my body is filled wit its symptoms like
amenorhea
serious acne and
men parttern hairs

i hav not had any of such symptom... So dts y i said i will go for d scan..i appreciate ur advice

l know a woman with similar complaint as yours, infact her menstruation had ceased for years. Somebody advised her to be eating moringa seeds. She started eating the seeds and within weeks she saw her period. Op you may try moringa seeds - just a few seeds morning and evening. Goodluck
