Google Creates An “ebola Proof Tablet” To Assist In Fighting The Epidemic by martfrank(m): 12:00am On Mar 22, 2015
Google, at the request and plea of the French Organization Medecins Sans Fontieres (Doctors without Borders) developed a tablet enclosed in Polycarbonate which can be soaked in Chlorine for Decontamination. This device communicates with a Battery-powered sever outside high-risk zones, allowing Doctors to retrieve and save patient information easily. Altogether, it’s a rather elegant solution for getting around typically restrictive biohazard restrictions. This device can also be used to fight future diseases outbreaks. Google and Medecins Sans Fontieres are also thriving to make the project open-source so that it will be easy for people to adapt it to their needs.
