Yes, it would look weird but Gay won't come to my mind for sure.

Depending on the environment you find yourself, it could be a normal norm.

Btw some ladies wear abgada and it is seen as normal in some places but look odd in your eye.

It doesn't mean we should then give them some kinda label because they look odd.

The design and the apparent texture of the material of that "skirt" is the same as that of Scottish plaids.
