First of all, why did Nigerian Tertiary Institutions(Universities, Poly, Colleges etc) adopt the use of "post utme exam" policy system?

It was believed that not All university/poly aspirants making Jamb's Cut-Off to gain entrance into tertiary institutions are acquiring it through merit only, but also through Examination Mal-practises. Which will later result to high level of the manifestations of unserious students in our institutions.
So, in other avert this anticipated predicament, the body had to come with the idealogy of setting post exams questions to effectively filter the system to ensure that candidates who deserves admission by merit will be admitted initially, while others can follow as supplementary. Then those that are not yet ready for admission will be denied of it.

This was an threat to Jamb, because this was one of the main reasons why Jamb was established. They are suppose to handle the admission procedure that will protect the various interest of Nigerian tertiary institutions.
But, The failed to manage this task effectively, resulting to high rate of exam malpractise during examination.
As a result of this, alot of people have clamoured for the scrapment of Jamb away from our educational system.since they were just "useless, time and money wasters."

Jamb knew if things should continue like this, the government might listen to the vioce of people and proceed to eliminate the system, since there was an atempted to do so around march/april 2013 but was later ruled-out.

In other to fix this mess. They came up with another means of writing the exam. Which lead to the introduction of the "CBT" examination policy.
this policy have greatly contributed to the succesful minimization of exam malpractises and other forms of iregulalities in the admission section. There by not allowing leakages of exam papers. So any candidates who claims to have seen the questions & answers before visiting the exam hall will only be disappointed because the questions will definitely vary from the ones he/she will be expecting! . The idea of impersonation have eliminated by the use of the system of
biometrics.

So, Jamb can now boast of producing succesful candidates that deserves tertiary educations on merit.

In other words; there is no real need for post utme exams anymore! As described by the Jamb Registrar and Cheif
Executive Officer on this article: " Post UTME would
soon be scrapped-

"

My brothers and sisters grin , with this scenario, I think those whose responsibilties are to set post utme exams in various institutes will not over look this situation, they might just repeat past questions or just take a little time to set easy/simple questions, knowing fully well that the system might be eventually scraped in the future.

Not that I am indirectly saying you shouldn't prepare adequately for the exam. But don't kill yourself with excessive studing na gringrin .
I have seen someone now (I don't know if I am correct o) disassociating himself from church and other social activities just because he is preparing for post utme exam gringrincheesy .

Nawa oh cheesy
