What do you think of Marijuana?



Do you see it as a "drug"? Do you not see it as a "drug"?

Do you feel it should be legalized? or do you think only legal for medicinal usage? or are you against any legalization of marijuana?

What are your thoughts?

while in naija, i avoided guys who smoked it and thought of them as rascals and bandits but my views have changed over the years since i became widely travelled.
Most countries in Europe have legalised the smoking but not the sales. Some cities in australia have government backed farms that produce it.
marijuana is like alcohol. if you abuse it, it abuses you and gets you into trouble.
its good for some folks. it makes them relax and helps clear their thoughts.
its good for them if taken wisely.
But we shouldnt approve of it just because europeans do.

what difference does it make whether it's synthetic or natural. would u use coca leaves? i'm for the legalization of marijuana though

I think we should be able to use own very own judgements concerning this issue. . .

As far as legalizing it i say NEVER!!

If you used it in the right way there is nothing wrong with it but, most people abuse it.It is highly medicinal and if you check most of the Hair cream there is a tendency that marijuana will be in the content of that cream.I don't support the issue of legalisation of the weed

I advise you to take a trip to Psychiatric hospitals in Nigeria to see the effects of marijuana abuse.


Legalize. NEVER!

I think it should be legalized, but heavily regulated. . . .similar to what they do with Alcohol.

If you are over the age of 18, I think you should have every right to consume marijuana anyway you like.

For the growers, they should be required to be licensed, and this also need to be regulated, making sure the growers are only growing for personal usage.



P.S. Why is this in the health section? If anything, it should be moved to the politics forum because I asked whether or not you feel it should be legalized.

Viagra, ritalin and co are 'legal' so why not weed? Let the smokers smoke jare!

It's been used for several good things like pain killers and hair products. Of recent I learnt that it has d opposite effect of what cigarettes does to the bronchitis. While cigarettes is a broncho-constrictor which makes breathing difficult, MJ does the opposite ie broncho-dilator.Perhaps it could be a remedy. Either ways i c nothing wrong in legalizing it; cos it's actually abuse of that is the real hazard and not its use. After all we all know that too much of everything is not good even AIR and WATER.

It shouldn't be legalized. I do not however see why tobacco usage is allowed. It should be banned as well.

Many people find that cannabis in its pure form can be very theraputic , while others feel the euphoric/relaxing sensation caused by the plant to be too extreme, causing them to occasionally become paranoid and anxious. Cannabis is apparently very effective in the treatment of Glaucoma.

With regard to the legalisation of the plant, not sure that this is necessary, the govt will ensure that value added tax is applied , perhaps even reduce its potency for the 'benefit' of its consumers .

Personally I am amazed at the way in which 'authorities' decide on the 'harmful' substances that society are 'allowed' to consume, For example, why are cigarettes, alcohol, sleeping tablets and all manner of over the counter drugs that have possible harmful side effects from increased asthma in children to fatal liver damage acceptable but cannabis is not?
