Discourse And Anecdotes On Dreams by Gnosticstudent(m): 11:37am On Apr 07, 2015
Greetings Dear Nairalanders,
The purpose of this thread is to give some Exposé on dreams in the form of a discourse, a series of post that I intend to do. This series of post would treat the various types of dreams, several anecdotes from History and from the Bible regarding precognitive dreams. All this may help to make clear to some of us what dreams really are and then also give people some clue on how to interpret dreams. Kindly read on…

"For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumbering upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction" Job 33, 14-16

Each person should learn how to understand the meaning of dreams by oneself and that is why intuition must be developed. This is a soul faculty which is usually atrophied in human beings. In order to develop intuition, it's necessary to know oneself as well as going through a process of psychological purification and that's why we are inviting you to start our practical courses on the path of profound and genuine spiritual transformation.

There are dreams that correspond to messages from God to humans, from the Inner Father to each person, each disciple. These messages from God are different and we call them “psychic experiences". Actually, it is exactly as the Holy Bible says, "God guides men through the dreams..."

In fact, 3 types of dreams are studied and distinguished:
• Projections from our subconscious mind: These dreams are related to what we think during daytime and they are useful to know our own defects.
• Unconscious soul travels which can turn into conscious ones. When this happens, the disciple realizes that he is having an experience "out-of-the-body".
• The experiences that are "messages" from God to men. Like the many ones that are narrated in the Bible.

A DEFINITIVE ANSWER TO DREAMS
“Each of us is a mathematical point in space which acts as a vehicle regarding specific sums of good or bad values. “Death is a subtraction of fractions. Once the mathematical operation is finished, the only thing left are the white or black values.
“In accordance with the law of eternal return, it is ostensible that the values return, they reincorporate.
“If a man becomes more consciously concerned about the little cycle of the recurrent events of his personal life, he will then be able to verify by himself, through direct mystical experience, the fact that in
nightly dreams the same mathematical operation as in death is always repeated.
“When the physical body is absent, during normal sleep, the values that have submerged into the astral light attract and repel one another according to the laws of universal magnetization.
“Coming back to the waking state implies, in fact and by right, a return of the values to the interior of the physical body.”

Since dreams constitute a function which is inherent to human nature – and, like it or not, man himself cannot get rid of it – we may easily understand that there are many people who have sometime in life questioned themselves about what dreams are, where they appear from and what their sense may be.
If we add to this the incipient explanation that science has given to such interesting phenomenon nowadays, we should not be surprised that the mystery of dreams, right in the middle of the 20th century, still deeply intrigues man’s consciousness greatly.
If our reading friend thinks that a dictionary can give an answer to these enigmas, he only has to consult one to make himself aware of his error. We may say that a dream is simply a representation of different
events in our fantasy. But this is certainly a poor explanation, which leaves the thorn of doubt still pricking us.

Sigmund Freud, the celebrated Austrian doctor who created psychoanalysis, studied the oneiric phenomenon and used it as a therapeutic tool; for he said that every dream is the apparition of a wish which is practically always hidden in the turns of the human subconscious.
Let’s see what the author says in his book entitled “The Interpretation of Dreams”:
“When dealing with the relations between dreams and wakeful daily life and with the origin of the oneiric material, we see that both the most ancient and the most modern researchers think that man dreams of what he deals with during the day, which interests him in his wakeful life. This interest, which goes from the wakeful life to the state of repose – the present stimuli in it – should be enough to explain the origin of all oneiric images.”
