For some hours now all domains and services associated with Facebook.com and Fb.com has gone down! could this possibly be an attack?

You can't be certain. this is the longest downtime i've seen Facebook have.

anyway, you can't be certain, as this is the longest downtime i've seen coming from facebook...(it's a social network with millions of users) they can't afford to lose over 30mins just like that.. that will be thousands of dollars wasting.

well, this is taking too long.. any downtime that takes too long might be a serious problem.. yesterday on mark zukerberg fanpage he said "facebook runs on millions of servers" so do the math, they don't even need to have a downtime this long just for maintenance.. they are losing lot of $$ and keeping their users in the dark (incoveniencing rather).

i have tried accessing it over 20times right here and with my mobile opera-mini broswer and all i keep getting is a bounce back as if the domain isn't yet set.

it is true. l cannot access my Facebook account. terribly down. l don't know how long this may take.
