Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has moved further up the European all-time goal-scoring list and now sits in fifth position.

The Portuguese scored his 216th La Liga goal for Real Madrid on Saturday, which took his total tally to 300 league goals in his career so far - as Ronaldo scored 84 goals in the English Premier League for Manchester United before moving to Spain in 2009.

With his 300th league goal, the 30-year-old has overtaken Delio Onnis, who scored 299 goals in France during the 1970s and 1980s.

Ronaldo is now only 66 goals behind all-time leader and England legend, Jimmy Greaves, who scored 366 goals for Chelsea, Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham in the 1960s.

Gerd Muller (365), Steve Bloomer (317) and Dixie Dean (310) are also still ahead of Ronaldo as he continues his quest to become the most prolific goal-scorer in Europe’s top-five leagues.

The Portuguese’s long-standing rival, Lionel Messi, recently moved into ninth spot and with 278 strikes, he is just five goals short of Alan Shearer’s record.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, started the campaign in 11th spot, but has overtaken six players following his 39 La Liga strikes so far.

This guy is just to good and a perfect goal machine. If only he had started is footballing career in la liga he would have been topping the chart by now. Too easy for him to score in spain.
