Former police officer Domingo Villa Arellano was serving a life sentence after being convicted of murdering his wife in 2006.
Arellano's girlfriend, her daughter and two of the couple's children were killed Monday at the Puente Grande Prison, according to Mexican newspaper El Informador Villa told authorities he fell into a rage when his children complained about their stepmother being unkind to them.
