There's a lot in the field of *computers* to learn. Just as much as doctors have specialties, so will many computer experts. I got my masters in comp sci and never regretted it, but you can self-teach as well; web design and databases (oracle) are two great fields to start. A simple query on Google will yield plenty of free tutorial websites and free ebooks to get you started.

I focused on performance computing, computing in emerging markets and childhood development, and aspects of software engineering (not just learning to code)

For me, I mainly focused on the networking engineering and security aspect of computers. I know some coding but since I don't use it in my daily life, it's starting to diminish.

I suggest pick something that you are really interested in.

ROFL it's all up to you man, if you don't have a passion for the material you won't enjoy it. I enjoy all things tech personally, but I found that Network Engineering and Security was my calling.

Let me ask you something, what do you think of this, you mentioned that you are into creating 3D graphics, you are also into learning coding. Have you ever thought of becoming a games programmer, or games designer? Nigeria needs more people to develop world-class 3D games as the majority of them come from the West (United States and some Euro Countries) and the far East Asian countries (China, Japan, South Korea, etc.). It would be great to see more Nigerians getting involved in the field and coming up with their own ideas without borrowing too much from others.

The sky is your limit man. Take your time and list what you like so we can help.
