Former Arsenal midfielder who now plays for Russian side FC UFA has posted the picture of his £50,000 bet ticket staked on American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr to beat Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Luckily for Emmanuel Frimpong, he won the jackpot after Mayweather, who was unbeaten in 47 fights prior to the bout, defeated his Filipino opponent on unanimous points 118-110, 116-112, 116-112 to lift the WBC belt and remain unbeaten after 48 career fights.

The 23-year-old Ghanian midfielder, took home £78,600 in total wins after Mayweather prevailed in the fight against Pacquiao and he tagged Floyd in an Instagram post with the betting slip with a banter: “That’s my pension money player.”

He also showed his joy via Twitter: “Bet big win big, some man ain’t got balls, having told his followers, “Laughing straight to the bank with this.”
