Sadiq Umar And Nura Abdullahi Are Turning Heads In Italy.
Little known Nigeria forward Sadiq Umar is the most talked about teen in Italy's Primavera after scoring his 23rd goal of the season to help Spezia to a 4-1 win over Virtus Entella.
The lanky 17-year-old, who was acquired from Football Academy Abuja as part of the working relationship between the Serie B and the Abuja based academy, has scored in almost every single round of Italy's youth league. He is currently the top scorer among his peers.
His tally of 23 goals in 24 games has not gone unnoticed by top teams in Italy and amidst reports of interest from top Serie A teams Spezia are set to tie him down to a new deal when he turns 18 later this year.
Nicknamed Jololo by his close pals, the Kaduna born forward has played a big role in his team rise to 5th on the log table and already he has twice being named on the bench in Serie B games this season.
He is not the only Nigerian in the Youth team of the Serie B side, his counterpart also picked from Abuja Football Academy Nura Abdullahi has been in fine form.
Nura who plays as a right full back has picked up six assists this season but more commendable is his tally of six goals from his role as a defender.
