These faintings are mainly caused by the delays of executive members during the oath taking ceremony. I remember that during my time, it took the governor's representative 4hours before arrival and we stood in the burning Northern sun for more than 7hours. Why won't some people faint? Our leaders and parastatals need to be very time conscious. It is a mark of civilization.
You are so right!!! During my time, I was under the sun for close to 6 hours. The sun was so bad. I couldn't pull out cos I was at the front. I had to shed silent tears cry

They didn't collapse its the normal military rule that you don't walk out when on parade even if you are tired, unless you fall. In imo camp today almost five people fell on the parade ground.

Kill? Does a CPR kills? shocked

I only thought he was breathless and needed resuscitation.

If he is breathing fine, the medics will take over then.

"Was the guy breathing?" was the question. If he was there wouldn't be any need for a CPR.

I thought he was breathless.

Jos is quite cold, so i doubt it was heat stroke.

It's not heat stroke if no one fake the fainting, every one will be there for more than 3 hours with numerous speeches and presentations. even house girl go bring her own come read.

during my own time, it was one of the flag bearer, [God bless her] first faint, one other girl come join her, within 45mins it was over.

Quickened recovery I pray for, Amen.

Don't know the cause for this special case tho, but for it too be so common in such occassions shows that most of us don't take our health serious.
No exercise during the undergraduate days... unfit youths! angry undecided

Many will still collapse lol. Reminiscing: Voices of some lazy colleagues whispering "hold me for back pls I wan fall" still dey ring for my ears. I mean pretenders who did not want to partake in parades lol. Though there are few genuine cases but that's part of the fun. Who no go no go know.

Its very common being in the Army myself, we do have few people dropping like a pawpaw on parade . Standing still for long period and tensing the muscles too much will reduce the amount of blood flow circulation.

That is why it's advisable when on Parade to relax the muscles and move your toes slightly
