'Brain dead' practically means dead in medical terms.
You are not dead if you can breathe.

Brain: the engine room of the body. The moment it stop functioning, then you either lapse into a coma or you die.

U're wrong sweet. The brain is not the engine house of d body, neither is it d most hard-working organ in d body. The engine house and d most hard-working organ is the heart, while d brain is the control room.

I wonder how ppl will sit down and say its the heart? Infact the famous love saying "I love u with my heart" is even wrong, the heart doesn't feel doesn't love its the hypothalamus that's responsible 4 feelings.d heart is just dere to pump blood, its the brain that makes the heart to beat rapidly when sumone is intense condition,so dat to reduce the blood pressure in such moments, the brain works with the eeyes, mouth tongue and even the muscles, its just like the control room of the body

[quote author=freecocoa post=33579957]Thats not true.

When someone is brain dead, they are still alive, despite needing some assistance which would have been provided by the brain, something else fills in for the brain, but nothing can replace the heart. [/quote

Comon baby... You must have head of "heart transplant"....during the transplant the person is still alive becos the brain is working...but u haven't head of brain transplant have you? The brain controls everythind in the body..everything including heart beat.

You need to have a heart to be able to dream, bro.

Haba! People can still function with artificially constructed heart. And come to think of it, without the brain sending sensory message to heart on what to do, the later would be clueless.

You are not dead if you can breathe.

"Brain stem death is where a person no longer has any activity in their brain stem, and has permanently lost the potential for consciousness and the capacity to breathe".

So if you're brain dead, you can't breathe and you're declared dead.
Sorry if I come off as an asshole.

When they say one is brain dead, he's still alive, but not functional. Now when u r heart dead, u r a gonner, as in stone dead, nothing more, all other organs rest at sleep. So the heart is the only organ that work from birth till death.

U're also wrong sweet. If d heart stops beating, the brain can stil survive for some seconds, or even minutes. But if the brain parks up, the heart stops working/dies immediately. But u're right abt the heart being the most-hard-working organ in d body.
Re: How Smart Are You,answer This Question by adepiero: 8:09pm On May 09, 2015
The answer is the BRAIN

Reason: It controls every other organ in the body including the heart. there is support mechanism for every other part of the body except the brain! even the heart can be transplanted.

but when the brain shuts down, its game over
Re: How Smart Are You,answer This Question by Slipknot(m): 8:10pm On May 09, 2015
i can bet that Op doesn't know d answer. the busiest organ in the human body is the BRAIN! it controls all aspects of human activity.

the human brain works harder when u are asleep than when u are awake, like dreaming, body cells repairs etc

Re: How Smart Are You,answer This Question by article1: 8:11pm On May 09, 2015
The Heart of course. Once it stops or fails all other organs of the body will fail also. The eyes can rest when one sleeps so also the brain etc.
Re: How Smart Are You,answer This Question by Nobody: 8:12pm On May 09, 2015

The nose

The function of all other sense organ depends on the nose. the exhaust of a living body
If the nose is close "brain, eyes, nose, mouth, ears and heart will be in trouble"

That's a lie, you can breathe with aid, yet won't function but still have breadth, that's the distinction.

Do you know why the brain is so important? It's simple: without the brain feeding sensory messages to all the other organs in and out of an anatomy, they wouldn't be able to know how to respond. Before a man can see, the image is relayed to the brain via the human eyes, then translated by the brain, then, projected back to the eye in the form of imagery. The same applies to the heart. The heart wouldn't be able to pump without first receiving sensory message from the brain on how to proceed.

Please it's the Brain.... Doesn't stop working till you die... Someone is dead when he is brain-dead... The medical sharks should know what I mean

However, once the brain stem has permanently stopped functioning, there's no way of reversing it and the heart will eventually stop beating, even if a ventilator continues to be used.

The only ORGAN there is the heart
Re: How Smart Are You,answer This Question by Francomekus(m): 8:18pm On May 09, 2015
the brain is the busiest, the heart is the most hardworking.the brain is the busiest becos any activity u carry out through out the day is done by the brain(walking, writing, standing etc) imagine that u want to raise u left hand and the right hand raised, u want to seat down but instead u stand up. the heart is the most hardworking becus it keeps beating in other to supply blood to all parts of the body, importantly the brain. if the brain does not get blood in few seconds u faint sharp sharp. in other words both does not rest any one that rest for even few seconds u re gone.

Hardest working and never take a rest is the Brain. If it stops you will be brain dead.

Guy, the moment your heart takes in air, u are dead. The lungs take in air, not the heart.

As for the questions, well the organ that most certainly never rests is the heart, it always pumps blood, if it decides to rest or stop, na die be that one.

But the busiest and most hard working organ in the body should be the liver... according to google sha. grin

I wanted to say you're brilliant when I saw the first paragraph but...
