Musa said Mustapha had a misunderstanding with his wife, Amina, 30, on the fateful day and he beat her up

The Police in Katsina State has arraigned a 42-year old Musa Mustapha before a Senior Magistrates’ Court for allegedly beating his wife to death.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Hashimu Musa, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 17.
He said that one Aliyu Sani reported the matter to the Central Police Station, Katsina.
Musa said that Mustapha had a misunderstanding with his wife, Amina, 30, on the fateful day and he beat her up.
He said that the wife sustained some injuries on her neck, back and stomach and she was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Musa added that the woman died a day after her admission in the hospital.

He said that Mustapha was standing trial on one count charge of culpable homicide, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code.
The Magistrate, Hajiya Nafisa Bagiwa, adjourned the case to May 8 and ordered the accused to be remanded.
