My mercury inverter 2.4 kva 24v does not charge the batteries very well at it cuts of after about 4hrs of charging and as such the backup time is low but when I use external charger the backup time is considerable. If you are using mercury inverter, are u having poor charging? I also notice it doesn't have multistage charging. Will appreciate a solution from d house as the inverter is a very decent inverter only problem is with the charging system.

2.4 kva mercury inverter has poor charging problem while using 200ah batteries on it. it is one of the best and cheapest modified sine wave inverter and the most durable. I recommend you connect solar panel of 200w ×4 to a 24v charge controller yo the batteries. this will give u a 24hrs backup and u might not need PHCN or generator to charge the batteries anymore. or better still get a 24v 40amps charger and connect to it.
