ARSENAL EYE GOTZE
Arsenal are reportedly interested in a £30 million move for Mario Gotze, amid talk he’s set to quit Bayern Munich.
The 22-year-old Germany international also has interest from Chelsea, while Manchester United have been ‘tipped to sign him as part of a swap deal involving Angel di Maria’.



ARSENAL, MAN UTD BATTLE FOR 16 YEAR OLD FRANCH WONDER KID
Arsenal are winning the race to sign ‘new French striking sensation’ Yassin Fortune, reports The Sun.
It seems Arsene Wenger is poised to beat rivals Manchester United to the 16-year-old’s signature. A deal may even be agreed with Lens before the end of the week.



MAN UTD BID €100M
Real’s loss looks very much to be United’s gain with Gareth Bale’s return to the Premier League almost complete. Sunday Express reporter John Richardson told MUTV: “I think it’s almost a done deal to be honest. I know somebody very close to Gareth Bale and the public are not hearing the real thing. He’s very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment.”

The fee for the frustrated Madrid forward could be upwards of €100 million with wages of over €400,000 a week.



GUNDOGAN TO EMIRATE
Arsenal are understood to have made contact with Ilkay Gundogan’s family ahead of a possible summer transfer from Dortmund.
Reports in Germany say Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have made the early running while United, Bayern and Man City have concerns about his injury record.
Gundogan’s father, Irfay, is also his agent but, at this stage, Dortmund insist they have yet to receive any bids.

VAN GAAL EYE VALENCIA ANCHOR MAN
It’s also being reported today that Louis van Gaal will make a significant bid for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi this summer. The centre-back is high on LvG’s wishlist, alongside Dortmund’s Mats Hummels, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

United saw an offer for the 27-year-old Argentine turned down in January but that will not prevent them from returning with another approach when the transfer window opens.



ANOTHER SAINT TO ANFIELD
Liverpool fans could be set for a Southampton reunion in their back four as The Mirror claim that the Brodge is interested in current Saints defender Jose Fonte. With Kolo Toure a likely departure and Martin Skrtel yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, Rodgers is looking for defensive reinforcements and wants to bring Fonte together with former teammate Dejan Lovren.

The Portuguese centre-back is contracted to Southampton until 2017 but it’s rumoured that Ronald Koeman would be willing to part with him for the right price.



MAN UTD IN SEARCH OF DE GEA REPLACEMENT
United are also considering a shock cut-price swoop for Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
United fear they will lose David de Gea to Real this summer, with the Spaniard out of contract in a year and yet to commit to a new deal.
The Mirror reports that although United have made Hugo Lloris their top target, should De Gea decide to leave, they feel he is overpriced by Tottenham at £25m.
That has seen United turn their attentions to Begovic, who is out of contract in 12 months and so could be available for around £8m.
United have not given up on De Gea, though, and have supposedly upped their contract offer to £200,000-a-week, which would make him the Premier League’s best-paid goalkeeper.



VAN GAAL ACCEPT TERMS FOR CAVANI
Meanwhile, United continue to be linked with the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.
Cavani, 28, is tied into a contract with PSG until 2018, but United are lining up a bid for him, according to The Metro.
It is believed the striker is demanding a £5.75m-a-year salary, which Louis van Gaal is reportedly going to meet.
