Elephone is one of the very few Chinese phone makers with huge presence outside their native China. Even though this company is no Xiaomi or Huawei, Elephone has introduced some pretty affordable smartphones in the recent past that you can view here.

Elephone S2 and Elephone S2 Plus

The latest devices from the company are the Elephone S2 and Elephone S2 Plus, unveiled and launched this week. For pricing, the company used their trademark cheap pricing pattern on both handsets as the 5-inch S2 is priced $160 while the 5.5-inch phablet-sized S2 Plus is pegged 10 bucks north at $170 -- albeit, we are quoting their Gearbest prices as these could be costlier elsewhere.

Moving on, the screen resolution on both phones is 720 x 1280 pixels. There's a 13MP main camera (on the two devices), 2MP front-facer, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 64GB microSD card and finally a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 SoC with 1.3GHz-clocked quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU. Both smartphones come with 4400mAh of battery capacity and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
