I was about to sleep when I heard a large explosion...and I heard pple shouting. I looked outside my window and saw flames about 500 meters from my house. Thick black smoke everywhere. Pple are abandoning their homes. I'll update later. |

My bus stop is actually called Pipeline bus stop, cos pipelines run underneath from there straight to NNPC, Ejigbo. The fire is out now, but I still don't know the cause. I heard two distinctive explosions before people started screaming/shouting. I actually thought it was the night Virgil people that were praying, before I started hearing fast footsteps. People have returned to their homes now. I will find out what really happened tomorrow. From where I was, I could see the flames, and my heart was beating so fast. I swear, for a second there, I thought our whole area was going to burn down. The fire was like the size of a football field. |
