Get your self a new gearbox. There's nothing wrong with your brainbox unless the mechanic keeps doing things that burn it like short circuiting.

Come and see wonder.

The transmission fluid started leaking on its own or after mechanic worked his wonder.

I am assuming it is a grand Cherokee Laredo with the 42re transmission, and the oil leak is transmission fluid not gear oil from differential.

Not sure of initial reason to take it to mechanic but there is no drain plug for fluid and it uses no gasket on the pan, so you have use gasket maker.
