Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by AriseOCompatrot: 10:30pm On Jul 03, 2015 |
Omonjoe: Seems like "Cooperative Education" there is referring to the name of the programme and not to the availability of Co-op placement. Were you informed by the school or did you see it on their website that this course has a Co-op/Internship placement as part of the programme? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by deedee0: 10:31pm On Jul 03, 2015 |
Omonjoe:Request for a letter (soft copy) that explains the co-op component of ur program, from the school. I uploaded the letter and acceptance letter in that section 'Proof of work requirement' |

OGreene: If you have a convincing SOP, you might be considered for a top up degree in Economics which may take a year or two before you do the Masters program. |

DENNYFLEX001: Your Uncle should provide her with His personal bank statement and the corporate bank statement A personal sponsorship letter stating what items he will be responsible for (tuition or living expenses or both) and stating exactly how much he will make available for her A corporate sponsorship letter stating what items the company will be responsible for (tuition or living expenses or both) and stating exactly how much the company will make available for her CAC documents proving his ownership of the company An affidavit of sponsorship A document showing some form of relationship between them. Maybe a family tree diagram linking them and a picture of both of them together That's about it. I'm sure others will chip in anything i might have left out. 1 Like |

I agree with Arise, even though it is tough and difficult, if the doors have been opening I would advise the individual to go for it. Bearing in mind that people with very bouyant bank statements or who have wealthy sponsors have been denied visas, so if despite the limtied funds, one is somehow able to get admission, then TRV, I'd say hustle for the ticket money and start living your dream one day at a time. It might require working long hours, deferring graduation and finishing after your colleagues or even completing the program and then working off to pay off one's debt before collecting the certificate but it would be possible. The question is, how prepared is the individual to face the challenges? Everyone who comes here and succeeds does so because they are willing to pay the price which I might add, varies for each individual. No be the same wahala we go face but we go face am and we go rough am, as God dey our side. AriseOCompatrot: 1 Like |

@Kfrosh No such thing as rush period, I believe. Alot of fall applicants applied since early this year and most have gotten responses at varying times. I'm more inclined to think the more straightforward your application is, the earlier you will get a response, Paper or Online doesn't change that. Regarding SOPs, I will go with both sides of the argument, depending on your: 1. Case 2. Mode of submission. 1. By case I mean, if your course of study is ij progression of your previous study, no gaps and none of the usual CIC redflags, then by all means go ahead and apply without one. However, if you have any complexity in your application (however minimal) then an SOP can come in handy-Although we shld be careful not to write more than is asked. I actually recommend using the former paper questionaire as a template of what to write-No need to complicate your life issues or write whatnots about coming back to Nigeria -They know you most likely dont intend to. 2. It is not compulsory for paper route as you already have a questionnaire wherein all CIC needs fron you is asked. On the other hand, Online routers may decide to add, we dont know for certain if they read it, but if your application needs one, please endeavour to write just what is being asked and nothing more, no need for long-worded nonsense. In all, we can't doubt the place of God, if an application will be approved, even with the most glaring of errors it will be. I've seen SOPs of some house members who got TRV and I genuinely lol'd. God bless us all. Medicals choppers congratulations and more blessings. 4 Likes |
