When talked about luxury in toyota brand and you didnt mention Avalon, i think you are correct.. Camry cant be compared to Avalon when luxury comes in.

actually, it's engine oil dependent. If it's the recommended 5w-30 engine oil brand then it serves 5000miles or 6 months (whichever comes first)

Why would anyone want to use 20W50 oil in his 03-07 corolla? He's killing its engine, in anyway, I challenge them to try a 5W30 and discover how silent, smooth and quicker that oil makes the engine perform.

Nairaland is quite educative, I have been using Mobil SAE 40 and never knew that we have a recommended oil for Toyota products... interesting.

yeah there is. Using the recommended oil give your better miles on the galon, your engine run more quiet, performance is optimum etc

Toyota is very reliable, no doubt. But suspension noise seems to be an issue. I use Mobil1 5w30 and do my servicing every 6months cos I never get up to 5k miles. Please who has used castrol 5w30. Is it synthetic?

Just to add, the 2003-2008 Corolla is a little higher off the ground compared to the 1997-2001 Camry (the popular pencils and envelopes) so if you live in a not so nice area as far as the road is concerned, you will experience less bottom scrapping the ground.

For those of you that wants a little bit off the ground clearance, you can never go wrong with 1996-2000 Toyota RAV4. Those are workhorses as well.

If you have a little bit more cash and something fancier, i suggest 2004-2005 RAV4 Models. I AM SPECIFICALLY SKIPPING 2001-2003 DUE TO SOME FACTORY DEFECT THAT CAN AFFECT THE TRANSMISSION BRAINBOX CONTROL UNIT.

I bought my 2003 sport for N1.3m in PHC, seems the price is going down now. The beautiful thing is that the car has a good second hand value. A friend is even pricing mine for N1m though I have no plans of selling, will still rock it for the next 4 years.
