It has been an awesome time in church today and the presence of God manifested.
I am happy and my future is secure. But I wish the majority of Nigerian youth can connect to my faith in God.
I share testimonies and the word of God in the Daily Encounter series I post on Nairaland, Facebook, Twitter and on my blog The Rhema. But only few of them read them. Most of them prefer to read my posts on pretty girls and relationships. And I am worried.
Believe it or not, white youths are more passionate about their faith in God than black youths. There is lack of depth in their faith in God, because they are not showing positive lifestyles. The failures of our political leaders have left them despondent and rebellious.
The Holy Spirit fire that swept through Nigeria in the 1980s and early 1990s seems to have left Nigerian youths and we have seen the results in the increasing cases of rape and HIV/AIDS among Nigerian youths.
They indulge in habitual drinking of alcohol, escapist vulgar songs of psychedelic music and pornographic videos and sex as anti-depressants, because they are actually living in fear of the climate of insecurity in Nigeria and not sure of their future in a country without heroes and without inspirational leaders.
