2. Take a look at your publishing schedule for the next 12 months. Get all planned releases up on assetless preorder ASAP. The longer your book is available as a preorder, the more time you have to accumulate orders.

3. Consider listing your preorder at a special preorder-exclusive price. For example, if you're planning to price your next book at $3.99, price the preorder at $2.99. And then in your marketing, let your readers know that preorder customers will lock in the lowest price, and after the book goes onsale and releases, you'll return it to the normal price of $3.99.
