Is there any Nairalander who has successfully transacted business through OLX?. There stuffs are always so cheap and recently I decided to know how real the folks there are.

I wanted to get a BB Q10 , searched and lots of results poped out, I contacted the ones I kinda find interesting and reached and agreememt with them. One Mr Sunday told me to come to Computer Village, he also gave me the address to the place where the transaction would take place.

On getting there, I called only for him to tell me I should send him 3k to his GT Bank account for only if I do he'll know how serious I was. On hearing that I just left and went back to work.

Just wana know if am the only person that have encountered this.

OLX is not bad , Bad and Untrustworthy people makes OLX this way. It's awesome page and very much effective.


You can as well say Nairaland is a scam due to people posting Fake ads and aim to scam people.

I once sold my electro acoustic guitar on OLX, so I'm among the people that have performed legit transactions on olx.

Olx is real but make sure you see whatever you are buying before paying, let it be see, negotiate, agree on price, pay, take your good away, do not pay to any bank account before seeing the good under any circumstance, I bought a Benz C200 from olx in 2014 so cheaply, and directly from the owner, its still being used by my wife till date
