PDP We’ll Regain Our Stolen Mandate From APC by abjentle(m): 4:36pm On Jun 29, 2015 |
The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party says it is confident of regaining its ‘stolen mandate’ from the All Progressives Congress. The PDP, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taofik Gani, on Sunday, said this while reacting to the ruling of the Edo House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal which has declared a PDP candidate, Sylvanus Eriagha, winner of the election. The tribunal had decided the case over the neglect of the APC to conduct its primary given the 21 days notice as prescribed in Section 85 of the Electoral Act. ADVERTISEMENT Commending the judgement, the PDP particularly noted that the judgement me about because of the readiness and sincerity of the judges to abide by the law, “no matter who it benefits.” The PDP, therefore, admonished the judges in the Lagos governorship and legislative tribunals to be unbiased.
