Conclusion: No God in football. Adequate preparation; good tactician as coach; fit (physically and mentally); and luck is what counts. Hope Nigerians are now learning. Some of us have been telling them since the 60s but they will not listen. They will continue to pray like they are in a Mountain of fire retreat meanwhile those that prepare well and employ good tacticians well to them will good luck smile at even when they worship their sex organs or worship Buddha (which some Christians/Muslims, in their arrogance, like to call a 'false' God).
