The Keeping up with the Kardashians reality TV stars broke up over the holiday weekend, a decision Kourtney made on July 4th after Disick’s years of partying and broken promises, according to E! News, Kourtney has always taken Scott back and been by his side, but now with three kids it has gotten old, a source told the website. “Kourtney has to do what’s best for the kids.”

Rumors of discord have surrounded the couple for much of 2015. In March, Disick checked himself into a Costa Rican rehab facility, only to leave a week later. Most recently, Disick made headlines when he was spotted cozying up to ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli during a vacation in Monte Carlo last week. While Kourtney was at home in California with the kids. Scott has been running around saying he’s single, a source is quoted as saying. Kourtney dumped him after she saw the pics in Monte Carlo and he hasn’t been home for a month.

The former couple, who have been together for roughly nine years, Kardashian and Disick began dating in 2006 and separated briefly in 2010. They have three children: five-year-old Mason, two-year-old Penelope and six-month-old Reign.
