This is not a an exact science or formula for wellbeing. You might not need to dry fast for seven days exactly, it could be less, depending on how severe ur situation is. Having said that, IT IS POSSIBLE for a human to survive without food or water for at least a week, given that he limits his activities and his health is in stable condition, even in the tropics.
