The need for this definition is very important cos Christianity is classified as one of the worlds religions but yet certain Christians argue that "true" Christianity is not a religion. so plz let someone qualified straighten this out. |

They just want to confuse the feeble-minded and further tighten their psychological grips on their  Religion is any SPIRITUAL affair/relationship of man with his God/god/dieties or whatever one is convinced that determines his existence/destiny on earth. (Definition mine). |

I favour Religion from Re-ligere meaning to bind back. Suggesting that something is fractured and needs to be bound back together again. The fractured thing would be Man and God, Man and Nature. If there is a plan for a man's life and he/she has deviated away from it then religion is the activity that brings him back to that original plan. |
