Flattery ma'am, flattery!

I don't consider myself intelligent, I'm just a chap who believes that 1+1 could provide limitless possibilities instead of just 2.

Thanks for the compliment, see you at the top.
Kudos to both of you.

I'm not a lawyer but you guys can educate me. A friend of mine just separated with his wife after 24 years of marriage. The woman deserves Nobel Peace for staying with him for that long. Now the problem is that he wants a divorce and she feels that divorce is not enough. They've built remarkable property acquisition and business during these years; all in the man's name. She is demanding to be paid off. He maintains she is entitled to what the Divorce court will award. Does she have rights outside what is available through divorce proceeding. They have four children, one of who is already a graduate.

Hello everyone..Thank God there is a forum for lawyers to interact. Please I need help seriously in getting a job.I was called to bar in 2014 with a 2.2 from law sch,and 2.1 from uni.I want a job that can pay at least a 100,000 naira..even if it means not practising,I don't mind.I can work anywhere that requires the services of a lawyer even in a bank. The reality that the legal profession is all hype has dawned on me.I need to earn something reasonable, not after 6 yrs of going to sch!I can't be wearing wig and gown and answering d name 'barrister, on top 20k salary..Please help a sister by informing me about job opportunities in rivers, delta or edo state!my CV can be sent on request.
Haba!! you want to start searching for jobs with laymen while you have several ways you can make money from your God given proffession through your ingenuity .Several seniors in many big cities are looking for juniors to help them out .Many lawyers fail because they listen to side talks that active litigation will make a lawyer poor&as a result of this many young lawyers become afraid of the court room.my dear its a blatant lie!!.If you use your brains, work hard, fall in love with the legal profession&mix with the right clients.the sky is your is your limit and you can make more money than those people you are eyeing in the corporate world. My dear the show offs&fake lives we did @ law faculties &law school are over. This is the real world.Follow my advice &thank me later

My brother the truth is that most lawyers avoid those divorce cases in this country mostly on moral grounds &that's why you hardly find lawyers who are specialists in divorce cases. We were taught how to handle divorce proceedings in school, but I have never handled it in real life&so any advice I will give you here will be an academic one

even though she did not contribute financially to building his estates, her moral support to him cannot be overlooked. The court is not a Father Christmas so she needs to get her lawyer to pray the court to give her as much of his estate as possible. She was married to him for long, bearing him four grown children. Marriage is not by force, if he says he can't do it any more he won't be compelled to but she should be adequately compensated by him. Let her get a very good/seasoned lawyer. I wish their marriage could be restored though.

Counsel,I am aligning my self to your position on that because if her lawyer presents his case well the court will grant the order.
