Yes, I've actually seen. It's a very rare condition though.

OP, please relax. Your baby is just 9months. She will develop teeth in her time. Is she crawling or standing yet?

If your baby was born prematurely, he could be developing at a different pace than you would expect. For example, a baby born two months before he was due, could sometimes be two months behind schedule on those developmental strides. This isn't permanent. The child eventually catches up.
But see a paediatrician, to be certain.

No reason at all to get worried. The teeth will come out in due time. And the good news is that the baby won't usually have the fever attached to teething when they grow their teeth late.

Your a good mother to be concerned but mama plz don't worry. My oldest daughter did not start to cut her first tooth until 11 mo old and it finally erupted within a few weeks. Sometimes the 1st tooth is the hardest but after the first they usually come fast.

maybe you give her just akamu(pap) or with little milk in it.... Increase her calcium intake and there's a particular vitamin that is also need that comes inform of oil (can't remember the proper name). Visit your paediatrician or listen to inspiration fm radio next Thursday buy 10pm to be able to ask your question or get a contact to reach them personally... My first baby had @ 6month.

Babies are not thesame. Comparing growth milestones is normal for moms but same time not always adviced.

Toothless 9months old is not far fetched, he's just taking his time, so continue doing the right thing and he will surprise you. grin

Oh I'm certain you already got a clean bill from his ped before coming here. No?

There are many causes of delayed teeth eruption. The cut off age when you should really start worrying is 13 months otherwise, I will advise that you see a specialist to rule out the possible causes of delayed tooth eruption because you never know. Like someone rightly said, it can also be a normal variant and while I agree completely with this, I will be more comfortable if a specialist declares that after thorough examination.
