Lol. No, I'm not.

I read about Bostwana generally and it's capital just before I opened my account. Was quite impressed about how it had become a middle-imcome country, and had it's GDP growing, and then, you have the diamond industry. I was simply taken, plus I loved the sound of the capital, 'Gaborone'. That's how I adopted it as my moniker.

Hope I didn't bore you with my epistle.

Wow that's great. Which country are you studying now?

Let's just say I read a bit about Ecuador and Ethiopia a few days ago.

Was surprised to find out Ethiopia wasn't colonized. Interested in finding out how exactly they were able to stand their ground during the scramble for Africa. I've still not done that. lipsrsealed

You can help me out here if you have an idea, so I get it out of my already screaming 'to-do' list.

Errmm...that it's the second largest African nation in terms of population.

It not only shares boundaries with Eritrea, it colonized it. Both countries have had boundary disputes over the years.

Lastly, I read that it's a drought prone area, and it has experienced periods of famine and starvation as a result.

That's the bit I read.

That the bilblical Queen of Sheba was from Ethiopia

That King Solomon impregnanted the Queen of Sheba and a lot of jews travelled with the Queen of Sheba back to Ethiopis ( see Falashas)

That Ethiopia defeated the Brithish Colonising Army that tried to colonised them

That this Reggae has its root in Ethiopia with Haile Selassie being made a demi god

Did you also read that they are one of the fast developing country in Africa today?: Nope...BBC just said it's one of the poorest, but that it is growing.

That the biblical Queen of Sheba was from Ethiopia: I knew this one...

That King Solomon impregnated the Queen of Sheba and a lot of jews travelled with the Queen of Sheba back to Ethiopis ( see Falashas: I don't know this. I doubt if I will believe the proponents of the pregnancy part too.
*'Falashas' though.

That this Reggae has its root in Ethiopia with Haile Selassie being made a demi god: Didn't know reggae has its roots here. It's all Jamaica in my head.

Read up more: Thanks but no thanks for adding to my 'to-do' list. grin
*Don't mind me, I'll read it up properly.

Ethiopia has the highest FDI in Africa today. Shame be unto BBC for telling lies.

Historians and Anthropologist talked about solomon impregnanting Queen of Sheba and even giving her *the ark of the covenant* as a gift ( the ark part is still being debated till today)

The ark is kept by a collection of blind Ethiopian priests according to one Graham Hancock in Sign and the Seal.Apparently, the technology is one that cannot be beheld.

I don't know anything about the Sheba story. I'm subscribed to Graham Hancock on YouTube and he once wrote a book on it called The Sign and the Seal. In the book, he claims to have met one of the priests/monks in the 80s or 70s on his visit there. You can check him out on YouTube for yourself. Here is the excerpt from his book.

i know that the ark of covalent is found in northern part of ethiopia in a church. Surprisingly, here in ethiopia, we have been only taught on history that queen sheba had a child from king solomon then he was called menelik and he ruled ethiopia, there was a dynasty called 'the solomonic dynasty' and the ones who were in the dynasty had the blood of king solomon. Emperor haileselassie/rasteferi was one them. He had the blood of king solomon and they all were respected just because of their blood. I don't know if i have answered what you want to hear but this is all i know.

Later that evening at my veranda I tried to kiss him, he pushed me off that he doesn't do that again, i felt that was a joke and relaxed. but later in the night as usual I tried to touch him, he kept resisting me and taking my hands of him, he threatened to leave the bed for me and actually did, he went and lie on the floor, at that point I pinched myself on how Stanley was able to resist me, I kept on wondering what happened to him, I couldn't sleep again the whole night, I was just saying within myself that whatever Stanley has found that I needed that too. I was just sitting there and watching him sleep till day was about breaking and I woke him up. I started asking questions, that was how he told me his salvation experience, preached to me and ministered Christ, I felt so broken(will never forget that day *sobs*) , when he was done praying for me, he advice I go to a bible believing church where I can grow spiritually and he suggested a ministry in awka anambra state(which was where I based then) called Love Ambassadors Ministry (LAM). I later left the ministry though few months later for personal reasons, and started worshipping at RCCG and by Gods mercies and grace a Sunday school teacher there till date wink

It was such a wonderful experience as I began to get closer to God, having a personal understanding of the word of God as i study, living a fasting and prayer life. I even testified in the church I was a bisexual.

I actually had things to do with some girls intimately but I knew I was much into guys and felt more attracted to guys than girls. did girls just to cover up my so called smartness.

I thank God that after the unfortunate exposure to bisexual life, porn(both gay porn and normal porn), scam, bribery, lies, cheating, drug life (marijuana, alcohol, solution and cigarette), I wasn't just saved from all of that but he also made me an able minister of the gospel to the glory of his name. I thank God though for not allowing me to die with it or get any deadly disease from it. I actually know of people that have died in it (even someone i have had something to do with personally)-only God knows what's killing them, and two of my friends I have had something to do with intimately are still HIV+(one of which I only did something with once, the day I slept with him I wanted to do it unprotected and he requested I use a condom which I did(do you see how the mercies of God in action because that would have been the day he would have transfered the HIV to me),been counselling and praying along with them that God heals them completely) they actually opened up to me on their HIV status.

God can still do it for you my brother/sister struggling with such. His grace has actually kept you till now irrespective all we did to save us. Please don't look down on this grace. If he can do it for me, he is still your Father and the same yesterday, today and forever more, so he can do it for you as well.

By his grace I don't have such desires or urge anymore, living my normal life and having a constant fellowship with God. One thing must occupy a man, it's either you are hot for God or you are cold. He doesn't like lukewarms because it doesn't exist.
Revelation 3:15-16 "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus saves.....

The point is that God is not homophobic as no sin is greater or smaller than another. All unrighteousness is a sin unto God scripture made us to understand in 1 John 5:17a. However, it is possible for someone who is sexually expressing himself with same sex to actually stop doing so and serve God with their bodies. To some the same sex attraction may still be there, to others, in the process of time, it may stop. Our bodies scripture tells us is Gods temple and what we are asking is for is to honour God with our lives and not pervert ourselves with homosexual relationships.
