All the world is a stage and every man and woman
merely players. I was thinking about my life, the things I've achieved and the things I really wish I could do well when suddenly out of nothing, I started defining myself. “What is life and what am I supposed to do on this earth?” After a minute or two, I saw the time and lo and behold, it was 11:13PM, that means at 11:11PM something magical happened with me. I just read on the news about a 17years old Malala Yousafzi who just won the 2014 Nobel Prize for peace. She is such a young girl. How did she start? What or who gave her the inspiration?
Was she preordained with some kind of special
intelligence or she developed herself? I asked
myself.


My mind journeyed back to the one week of the
FEDCOL games held at Enugu in the year 2008. I
had the opportunity to compete in the 100M sprint
race. That Jalingo boy who was always on black
won the final, he even got the golden trophy and
also got an opportunity to represent Nigeria in
China. How could he run that fast? Was he born
like that or he developed himself or someone
developed him? I thought again.


For the next 30Minutes, I could not stop
reminiscing the past. It was because Tolulope Adu
could paint better than everyone else when I was
in primary 4 that he earned the teacher’s N100. A
very big money to the pupils in those days. Tolu
would paint anything you asked him to paint and
you’d just love it. What if that painting had a bigger
prize tag on it? What if the president of the Country was there and promised to give the best painter some millions of naira? How could he paint so
beautifully like that? Was he born like that or he
developed himself or someone taught him how to
paint? I asked myself again.


I could not stop making journeys inside my heart
with my thought traveling faster than a jet
traveling with it’s highest speed. I was now at
the Main Bowl on Obafemi Awolowo University
Campus. I could remember with vivid pictures
how Yusuf danced so wonderfully that he still lost
to a lady who won the NESCAFE dance
competition. This lady won an ipad just because
she could dance better than everyone who
competed. Again I asked myself; was she born like
that? Was that a talent she was born with? Did she
grow up and discover she could dance to any
music? Did she teach herself how to dance or how
come? :s


I want to be sure that you are breathing over
there. I’m going to make my point very soon. I
thought about so many more moments but time
will not permit me to tell you about them.


The ancient Greeks threw coins in their wells hoping to keep the wells from running dry. Today, people
throw coins in fountains to make wishes come
true. Now I’m making my wishes while gazing into
the skies because above is God’s abode and only
Him can make wishes come true


I wish I could run so fast that Usaine Bolt would
always finish in second place some 55 Metres
behind me


I wish I could draw and paint so well that all Da
Vinci’s works would be forgotten.


I wish I could swim faster than Phleps


I wish I could play the Video Soccer games so
much that I would wallop my opponents 70 goals
to none


I wish I could sing better than Lucifer with a voice
that has all the notes on the Piano and guitar
strings


I wish I could play the keyboard and guitar so
much that in concerts, no drums or other
instruments would be needed. I would handles all
those offices with my fingers on the keys


I wish I could play the drum sets


I wish I could rap better than Olamide, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Meek Mills and Wale


I wish I could look better in skirts than ladies


I wish I could play the basket ball so much that I
would point 100 in every game I played


I wish I could be a better movies actor than Tom
Hanks


I wish I could cook better than my mom


I wish I could type 1000 word per minutes on the
keyboard


I wish I could write so creatively that prolific would
be too low an adjective to qualify me


I wish I could be so brilliant that I would teach my
lecturers, seniors, mates and juniors, teach other
people stuffs in their own field and even point out
grammatical blunders in Soyinka’s novels :>


I wish I could write novels every time and they
become best sellers in the world.


I wish I were wealthier than Bill Gates


I wish I could be a computer wizard, vast with the
internet and programming


I wish there was no hell but only heaven


I wish I could disappear and appear at will

hmmm......got me thinking.......I wish we could all live forever......I wish 'dying' does not exist.......I wish all hard work pays... I really wish....

*sighs. It means everything boils down to the fact that everybody has a wish in common. I vote your first and second wish. I'll also add to the list by emphasizing and reconstructing your third wish- I WISH ALL HARDWORK PAY REALLY HARD.
