Time has pass the age when a woman's education ends in the kitchen. With the advent of civilization and revolution, our women have become valiant, taking bold steps to occupy high positions and offices that has previously been manned by men. Former president Jonathan led administration through his wife Dame Patience was always at the apex of promulgating the need to abjure gender inequality and warmly embracing the system of dishing women equal right to prove their worth.

However, it is heartbreaking and disheartening to find some women with a cluster of enviable talent and character rot away in the confine of their husband's cubicle under the auspices of 'Full House Wives'. The African norm, lack of swift and proper orientation has further murdered the war against the is menace.

Certainly, the house arrest which women have been invariably placed , especially in rural communities come with adverse effect. Amongst others are illiteracy, a function of preponderant child birth, poverty, a function of low income from only only a source , malnutrition, and the most salient, tussle for survival after the demise of the breadwinner.

A deeper rumination of these delineated points should charge us all to battle against it. The panacea to this problem has become a duty to all. Amongst others, orientation of youths before and during marriage, communicated to our women through books, seminars and even songs. Men should be apprised of of the enormous danger tied to keeping their women idle which includes infidelity, parading of wonky friends and all.

Government should also put policies in place to empower women, strengthen the education sector and improve the agricultural system. With all these, our mummies, sisters, girlfriends, wives will blossom and our men will have a celestial relief. They will be glad they did. Women are pundits, allow them the opportunity to excel.
