THIS EVENING I RECEIVED A STRANGE MAIL FROM A SENDER CALLED"OLAIDE OLOKODANA"' WITH THE SUBJECT: "FWD: APPROVAL" AND CONTENT AS "PLEASE FIND ATTACHED DOCUMENT FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION". I downloaded the attachment which was a web file, and when i opened, it linked to a page that display a javascript window that says "you have been signed out from Gmail because your browser was updated 30 seconds ago.(NB: I updated my browser 3 days ago) so i clicked on "ok" and to my surprise i was redirected to a gmail login page. I was suspicious of this, so i opened a new tab on my browser and i saw that i was still logged into my gmail account, in other words gmail didnt sign me ouT. I tried again and i got the same feedback. So, what i could conclude was that, the mail from the estranged "olaide olokodana" is a fraudulent means of acquiring people's email username and password from innocent Nigerians. i just want everybody to be aware of this kind of scam. |
