what level are you now??

I will advice you to stick wit what u ar studying.. There is no disparity btw Bsc physics and Bsc(ed) Physics in the labour market.. In the real sense, most university in Nigeria do admit graduates of edu Phy directly for masters in pure physics..

You have no problem bro.. I studied education Physics.. In OAU, some lecturers in physics dept studied edu phy at 1st degree..I cn name lyk 5 of them

still not the end of the world. first thing to do is to lodge your cv on careers.slb.com that is schlumberger's career site. other servicing companies also collect unsolicited applications. servicing companies value courses like physics a lot because most of their operations are based on basic physics. apply under field specialist position, i can assure you you'll get a test invite before the end of this year. the next thing is to improve your testing skills. cos you wouldn't want to have a rare opportuinity and waste it. also google mud logging jobs, might be helpful.

direct link to schlumberger field specialist application
How about FIELD ENGINEER ? Don't you think a Physics graduate is qualified for such?

I'm a Physics graduate with a 2.1. And I'm targetting the following Industries. IT, Telecoms (did an internship with a telecoms equipment manufacturer) and oil and gas.
With the research I've done so far; the opportunities are limitless! So be strong and do your research well. Of all the pure sciences, Physics and Mathematics are the best(my opinion tho)!
Please can you give me your contact ....could like to asked you some questions? ur pin or mail wil realy be of help to me

Good. Best of luck bro! That reminds me of a lecturer in my department, Prof Okunade, all his students always use programming to execute their projects.

that's cool i also teach in a private school before coming for my service but am thinking of doing my pdg and master which i intend doing abroad do you have any link on that Sir

No! I don't.
But if you do some serious Google searches, you may be able to find quite a number of tuition free or very cheap postgraduate programmes for international students.
I wish you success as you strive ahead.

There is a medically related postgraduate course for physicist, I can't readily remember its name. It's in line with radiotherapy or something. Very few hospitals in Nigeria have them. It has a very good prospect. I strongly encouraged a relative who read physicics to pursue it.

It's called Medical Physics. Unilag runs postgraduate programmes for the course - I think even up to PhD level.
And there's still Biophysics.
Physics is just too important. It's the big brother of the two other superbly fantastic areas of pure science, ice, Chemistry and Biology.
