YSFON scribe David Ehominy thinks the recruitment of the ex-international as Super Eagles coach by the NFF was a gamble, while the exit of Keshi was long overdue

Deputy Secretary General of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, David Ehimony, has described the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles coach as a gamble.

Oliseh, 40, became coach of the Super Eagles after he agreed a three-year deal, but Ehimony has faulted the process with which Oliseh was recruited by the Nigeria Football Federation, insisting the ex-international has no blame should anything go wrong as he never applied for the job.

"On the appointment of Oliseh, I would say it is a gamble. I see him as somebody that is good. If his appointment turns out to be performance-oriented, then he becomes a good gamble. And if it doesn't, then we would say we made a wrong gamble," Ehimony said.
